Nothing beats the world famous sports car, the Corvette. Designed by Zora Arkus-Duntov, the 3rd generation C3 body was patterned after the Mako Shark II show car designed in 1965. The C3 body was manufactured from 1968 through to 1982 and is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all 8 generations. Not only is the Corvette one of the coolest looking American sports cars, it’s also one of the fastest.

To top off this beauty, AFX is introducing our exclusive Wild Fire flames on the hood and fenders. They did not appear on the real car in 1968. However, these custom designed flames add next level fierceness to an already savage sports car.

It is 5% lighter and uses 33% less electricity, and runs cooler than the original Mega-G chassis. The new Mega-G+ chassis makes it possible to create more stunning, accurate and realistic bodies than ever before, due to its long wheelbase, low center of gravity and narrow dimensions. Combine that with superb graphics, which uses up to 8 colours and you have set a new standard, in detail and accuracy for 1/64 scale cars.

AFX Collector Series – Clear

The Race and Performance Cars of the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s merged Art with Engineering to reach new levels of Speed and Beauty. Perhaps never before or since have automobiles made such leaps in Power, Control and Design. The AFX Collector Series honors these achievements with stunning recreations of the Best Cars of this era.

The AFX Clear Series Cars feature, clear windscreens and detailed, photo realistic interiors, that really set these cars apart. AFX achieves this by moulding the whole body in clear plastic material and then painting over everything except the areas that should be clear. The result is a Car with a clear windscreen without the need for separate, bulky, glued in parts. A first in 1/64th scale.

And what do you see when you look through those clear windshields? Realistic printed colour interiors. That’s right – seats, spare tires, carburetors, and whatever else was in the real car’s interior. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to the look of the car. And only AFX has it!

Special Collector Series Packaging

The Collector Series GT40s come in specially numbered packaging. Each package has a coded 9 digit number on the upper left hand corner of the back of the blister pack. The 9 digit code shows the month and year of production and the incremental number of the package within the production run.
