History

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, is a 2 door, 4 Wheel drive sports car with a 700HP V12, engine with a top speed of 350Km/hr and a 0-100 Km/hr sprint time of 2.9 seconds.

It features the iconic Scissor doors, mid-mounted V12 engine with 7 Speed ISR (independant shifting rods) robotisised gearbox, and carbon fibre construction. Lamborghini decided against a dual clutch gearbox, due to weight, size and shift feel. The ISR gearbox when switched to “corsa” drive mode will shift gears in 50 milliseconds, which is near current Formula One shift times. The Aventador was designed to replace the 10 year old Murcielago as the new flagship model of the Lamborghini range.
