The AFX HO scale, Firebird Trans Am, features the all new Mega-G+ Chassis. The Mega-G+ Chassis has been completely redesigned for better handling and performance from the ground up. It is lighter, lower, and narrower with a lower Center of Gravity than any other HO Chassis available. The Chassis is made from strong, super durable Nylatron, with just enough flex, and fitted with Level 30 Neodymium Traction Magnets. It is powered by a smooth, reliable, and powerful FN20 Can Motor, with High Carbon brushes. The motor provides smooth, reliable, and consistent power while using 33% less energy than the Mega-G Chassis. The new chassis also features an Extra Long Tapered Guide Pin with redesigned Pick-up Shoes and for better and more consistent handling.

Mega-G+ Chassis

The Mega-G+ Chassis is a completely new chassis that sets a new standard in performance, detail and accuracy. It is not only faster and lighter, it also corners and handles better, and is more fun and easier to drive. The new Mega-G+ chassis has been completely re-designed from the ground up to be smoother, quieter, more durable. It is 5% lighter and uses 33% less electricity, and runs cooler than the original Mega-G chassis. The new Mega-G+ chassis makes it possible to create more stunning, accurate and realistic bodies than ever before, due to its long wheelbase, low center of gravity and narrow dimensions. Combine that with superb graphics, which uses up to 8 colours and you have set a new standard, in detail and accuracy for 1/64 scale cars.

The AFX Firebird Trans Am is from their Clear Collector Series and features a clear windscreen with realistic detailed interior.

AFX Collector Series – Clear

The AFX Clear Collector Series Cars feature, clear windscreens and detailed interiors that really set these cars apart. AFX achieves this by moulding the whole body in clear plastic material and then painting over everything except the areas that should be clear. The result is a Car with a clear windscreen without the need for separate, bulky, glued in parts. A first in 1/64th scale.

And what do you see when you look through those clear windshields? Realistic printed color interiors. That’s right – seats, spare tires, carburetors, and whatever else was in the real car is in the interior. You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to the look of the car. And only AFX has it!

Collector Series Packaging

The Collector Series GT40s come in specially numbered packaging. Each package has a coded 9 digit number on the upper left hand corner of the back of the blister pack. The 9 digit code shows the month and year of production and the incremental number of the package within the production run.
